Hi, I'm brett!I’m the founder and owner of Worth the Work Fitness. I have been an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer for over 4 years, and I’m also a certified ISSA Senior Fitness Trainer. I’m extremely passionate about helping others achieve their health & fitness goals, but it’s not because I’m some fitness guru who has been in shape his whole life. My passion stems from my own health & fitness journey that began in 2011.
You can read more in detail about it here, but the short version is that for most of my adult life I was significantly overweight. I was a fast food eater, cigarette smoker, and soda drinker. I never worked out, and I just felt lethargic most of the time. I hated how I looked, I hated how I felt about myself, I had little self-esteem, and I had no energy. Until one day, at 2 a.m. after a fast food binge I saw a commercial for some at home workouts and I told myself I was done with it. I was finally ready to commit to a long-term relationship with my health & fitness. I was so sick and tired of feeling the way I did that I was ready to put in some work to get past it. So I started putting in the work. And between at-home workouts and High Intensity Interval Training classes, along with establishing better nutrition habits, I was able to transform my body over several years. It wasn’t a quick fix, it was a slow and long process. And it’s a journey that continues to this day, and will go on for the rest of my life. Along this journey, I have been motivated & inspired by other people who were also willing to put in the work to improve their health. That motivation led me to completely switch career paths and I became a HIIT trainer and accountability coach at a local gym. I realized that helping people make sustainable changes to their health & wellness was my passion, but too often I saw how schedules and commitments became roadblocks for them to actually make it to the gym. And so, I wanted to find a way to help more people by meeting them where they’re at - which is at home. I started Worth the Work Fitness because I’m all about working with people who are in that same spot I was in back in 2011...sick and tired of being sick and tired, and finally ready to commit to doing something about it over the long-run. I love helping others to change the way that they feel about themselves. I understand the challenges that come up when developing a fitness routine that you can stick to, because I’ve been there. So for these reasons, I want to help you develop a motivated and confident mindset that will help you achieve the results you want. Here at Worth the Work Fitness, we will provide you with the tools that you need in order to succeed, while also celebrating each of your victories every step of the way. If you’re willing and ready to put in some work, and you just need someone who will tell you what to do, show you how to do it, and then do it with you - then let’s get to work! Trust me, it’s worth the work! |
